Tsegab Arega, MPH
Consultant/Researcher (she/her)
Tsegab holds a BA from Augustana University and MPH from Emory Rollins School of Public Health. Originally from Ethiopia, Tsegab is an immigrant to the United States and has deep ties to immigrant communities across South Dakota. She has successfully leveraged her own experiences and relevant community ties to design and carry out community-based research about reproductive health knowledge among immigrant women and community leaders. She has presented her work at academic conferences like the National Abortion Federation Annual Meeting and published her findings in Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health. She co-leads RJ by You, a micro-grant program for young and BIPOC leaders in South Dakota and Missouri. Tsegab also serves as a consultant for a reproductive health coalition-building initiative focused in South Dakota and is a board member for Innovations in Reproductive Health Access.
